Displaced Farmers
The world of Izarin - van der Linde is characterised by a documentary staged approach where people are central. The photographers are inspired by man in his environment.
For the photo assignment of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with the theme 'the Fifth Runway', they portrayed the native inhabitants of this area. Their documentary is a tribute to the people who make way for the airports fifth runway. The fifth runway cuts through part of the Haarlemmermeer polder and will fundamentally alter life in the polder.

18-36 5e Baan Schiphol (Book)

The purpose of this book is to capture the area around Schiphol 'as it is now'. Nineteen families or persons, divided over four roads in the northwest corner of the Haarlemmermeer, are telling their stories. They form a part of the inhabitants who will have to move for the construction of the fifth runway of Schiphol Airport and they tell about their spot in the polder. The book is mainly a photographic homage to the peasants who have cultivated this land for years. Some family histories are actually being told. Two-thirds of the book consists out of color photographs, which are divided perfectly over two pages. A selection of five famous and recognizable photographers have provided the photographical content.
